The Master Group of Companies comprises a remarkable variety of logistics brands and is excited to be adding a new freight forwarding brand, Prudential to its logistics portfolio. To support the development of this new brand, Prudential is looking for an experienced sales manager.

Reporting to the Branch Manager – Airfreight & Ocean Freight.
Will promote and sell Prudential’s product to exporters & importers.  The role will manage and grow revenue and strategically drive sales, evaluating potential business from new prospects and growing business with existing customers. Initially focusing on Mumbai, the position will have scope for growth in additional markets of western region in India

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide sales and service coverage to exporters & importers.
  • Conduct personal sales calls, and presentations for exporters & importers to acquire sales.
  • Develop sales plans and activities for assigned accounts and provide ongoing sales updates, evaluation and account analysis.
  • Represent Prudential at sales promotion and trade events.
  • Negotiate airfreight & ocean freight rates with airlines & shipping lines.
  • Domestic travel to fulfill assigned responsibilities.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of freight forwarding sales experience, with established relationships and previous travel sales in one or more of the following markets: Mumbai, Pune/Aurangabad/Nasik, Goa, Ahmedabad and Baroda.
  • Wholesale experience with a broad understanding of the western region market.
  • Strong public speaking, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong decision making, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong relations with airlines & shipping lines.
