Roles & Responsibilities:

  • More than 7 years sales experience of which three to 5 years in a sales management capacity in an NVOCC/ freight forwarding environment
  • The sales manager works in coordinating operations, delivering a proper service to customers and optimizing the financial results of services assigned.
  • Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects
  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales targets and profitability
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
  • Follow up with the agents for the booking, preparing schedules, circulating schedule to customers and to agents
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
  • Provides monthly Sales Report to General Manager regarding sales performance
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
  • Handles customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Provides guidance and support to the logistics team on a daily basis
  • Training and development of the operations team including performance evaluations
